As the first Festival Director of Sydney Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras, Gill established a three week arts and culture festival that culminated in the world famous Parade and Party. Directing three Mardi Gras festivals (1989 to 1991), Gill curated a theatre, music, outdoor event and visual art program that was the largest of its kind in the world.
